Jon Stewart Slams Orwellian 'Right-to-Work'
On last night's episode of the Daily Show, Jon Stewart pointed out that 10 months ago Michigan Governor Rick Snyder claimed to Congress that he would not push "right-to -work" legislation in the state. Less than a year later he's apparently changed his mind: despite massive protests Snyder just signed a right-to-work bill into law Tuesday, dealing a massive blow to the bargaining power of unions. In the segment below, Stewart skewered the Orwellian language, noting that the law is really about the right of corporations to work around unions. Watch:
